Bethel resident Jason Murillo was arrested on Sunday, April 28 after he was pulled over on Danbury Road (Route 7) in Wilton, Wilton Police announced.
According to the department, just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Murillo's red 2023 Genesis GV70 was pulled over by officers after it was allegedly seen speeding.
After officers began talking with Murillo, they saw that he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, authorities said.
Murillo then admitted that he had consumed alcohol before driving and refused to take field sobriety tests, according to police.
After this, Murillo was arrested for DUI, after which he refused to submit to chemical testing. He was later given the opportunity to pay seven percent of his $300 bond and was scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court on Friday, May 10.
